EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy

EMDR is a therapeutic modality that helps client process negative past experiences while desensitizing current triggers and incorporates new narratives that allow clients to live their best lives. EMDR is both research and evidence based meaning that it has demonstrated its effectiveness.
EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (BLS) to toggle between the left and right hemispheres of the brain. This stimulation allows individuals to begin to desensitize the negative or disturbing memories associated with a particular event, issue or circumstance. Reprocessing provides an opportunity for new beliefs to emerge.
